How we entertain our selves while hiking in the rain.
This memorable video was taken on the fifth day of our 2013 hike on Vermont’s Long Trail. That summer, southern Vermont experienced very heavy rain between June and July. The ground was very saturated. On this particular day we woke to saturated sleeping bags and a flooded tent. We encountered flash flooding that trapped us for four hours, and we navigated deep streams that had turned to roaring rivers. Wet and cold, we continued to happily hike on. We embraced each and every one of these adventure as a new part of our history in the making.
